(Re)Considering L2 Technology: Effectively Enhancing the Language Learning Process
This workshop will discuss what second language acquisition research tells us about language learning and it will consider how technology can be used to enhance this process. It is not always the case that technology is an effective language learning tool even though there is pressure to incorporate it into our classrooms. This workshop will help teachers to evaluate their use of technology in the L2 classroom based on current SLA theory and to choose technology that will effectively benefit the students’ language acquisition.

MEET DR. CHRISTINA AGOSTINELLI

Dr. Christina Agostinelli is a recent graduate from the Romance Languages and Literatures department at SUNY at Buffalo, where she received her Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics. Christina currently teaches Spanish at the Rochester Institute of Technology and will also be teaching at SUNY Geneseo in the spring.
